About Days until Xmas

Days until Xmas is a free Christmas countdown built for anyone who starts counting down long before December. It answers the simplest holiday question — how many days until Christmas? — with a live timer that shows the exact days, hours, minutes and seconds remaining until December 25, calculated in your own timezone rather than a fixed server clock. Alongside the main countdown you get the weeks and working days left, the time remaining until Christmas Eve and the start of Advent, and a printable countdown sheet for the fridge.

The app is made for families, teachers, office teams and anyone who wants the season to feel a little more present. An interactive advent calendar unlocks a new festive message every day of December, and the Christmas facts and traditions library explains where the customs we all follow actually came from. There is nothing to download and nothing to sign up for: open the page, and the countdown is already running.

Days until Xmas is built and maintained by a small independent team of Christmas enthusiasts who keep the site ad-supported so it can stay free for everyone. The countdown is refreshed every second, the advent calendar is stored on your own device, and we add new festive content throughout the season.
